Jonathan Powell

Jonathan was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, before moving to Las Vegas to earn his J.D. from the Boyd School of Law at UNLV. Upon graduation, Jonathan dedicated approximately 12 years to criminal defense, zealously advocating for his clients not only in Nevada but also in states such as Texas, Florida, and New York. His rigorous defense work frequently required taking cases to trial in both state and federal courts.

After the birth of his daughter, Jonathan sought to redirect his career focus. He initially transitioned into insurance defense, where he could apply the trial skills he had honed in criminal defense. However, after successfully trying several cases for insurance companies, Jonathan recognized that his expertise would be better utilized representing injured clients. Today, at The Powell Law Firm, Jonathan leverages his in-depth understanding of insurance defense to passionately pursue justice for those who have been injured.
